with the formal name of 1-[1-(3-methoxyphenyl)cyclohexyl]-piperidine is classified as a dissociative compound. 3-meo-pcp is an analog of Phencyclidine, which is known as angel dust. 3-meo-pcp binds the NMDA receptor (Ki = 20 nM) and serotonin transporter (Ki = 216 nM) with greater affinity than does PCP (Ki = 59 and 2,234 nM, respectively).

The molecular formula is C18H27NO • HCl with a molecular weight of 309.9 and an exact mass of 396.13. 3-meo-pcp is a crystalline solid with a ≥98% purity and λmax at 221, 279 nm.

The CAS number for the research compound is 91164-58-8. At this time, research on 3-meo-pcp has not determined the biochemical, physiological, and toxicological properties, thus more research is needed. If properly stored at cool place, 3-meo-pcp to prolong shelf life.

Research on 3-meo-pcp was conducted by ACD/Labs’ and US Environmental Protection Agency’s EPISuite. Properties that were predicted by ACD/Labs showed 2 #H bond acceptors, 3 #Freely rotating bonds, index of refraction at 1.544 with a surface tension of 40.5139999389648 dyne/cm, a flash point of 112.362 °C and a boiling point of 381.307 °C at 760 mmHg.

Properties that were predicted by the US Environmental Protection Agency’s EPISuite showed the boiling point at 358.92, melting point at 120.86, and the vapor pressure estimations at 9.05E-006. The report also showed water solubility at 25 deg C (mg/L): 10.13.
